Moisture is generally one of the main reasons that homeowners have home foundation issues.
In addition to the steps above, if your home is on piers and has a crawl space then will crawl under your home to inspect the integrity of the piers, the support beams and joists for the house, and take note of excess water issues maybe from leaking pipes or improper drainage from the yard into the crawlspace.
