Foundation Repair Information
The following steps are an example of the process that we may follow when doing a foundation repair at your house. Be advised that all jobs are not the same and we may vary from this routine. This is more or less a guide to help the homeowner know what to expect when you show up at your home.
- Step 1: We are going to test your soil to determine where the most stable (not wet, muddy, sandy) and firm soil is. We may have to drill down 10 to 15 feet until we can locate soil stable enough for our piers.
- Step 2: We then dig a hole deep enough to bring in our drills to continue to drill out the hole to the desired depth for the piers.
- Step 3: We then fill the hole with concrete and insert rebar to strengthen the concrete once it is dry and has cured.
- Step 4: We will clean up the area as we go in order to keep the homeowner’s house and yard looking attractive. We don’t want to create a gigantic mess and draw the attention of your neighbors.
- Step 5: We will leave the concrete alone for a few days and let it cure and harden completely. The is very important due to the fact that we will be setting our piers on the concrete slabs to provide a permanent source of strenght and stability for your home’s foundation.
- Step 6: Once the concrete has finished hardening we will then begin raising and leveling the home to as close to the original grade of the home.
- Step 7: Once we are finished, if necessary, we will fill any voids in the foundation by pumping a concrete and mud mixture into those areas. Once that mixture hardens is provides another level of support for your home’s foundation.
- Final Step: We will thoroughly clean your yard and around your home/foundation to ensure that all mess that we have made from digging, drilling, concrete, etc… is cleaned up completely. It is our desire and commitment to you that we will leave your home and clean as we found it and to your satisfaction.
